15th November, 2017 Beachy Head Overcast, very mild and almost calm.

We covered Birling lane, Birling Loop, Belle Tout wood and Shooters Bottom. A small arrival of Song Thrushes and Robins with the highlight being a Woodlark which appeared to come in from the sea and headed E over our heads until out of sight.

Lesser Redpoll 60 of which 32 were trapped and ringed.

12th:
Ring Ouzel 1 in Whitbread Hollow
Goldcrest 14
Firecrest 2 in Whitbread Hollow
Coal Tit 1 seen briefly in B/T wood
Siskin 2
Lesser Redpoll 15
Bullfinch 6 in Whitbread Hollow.

Party of 14 long-tailed Tits passing through the Birling
Loop. On Unst, these would be a mega!!
