3rd July, 2017 Beachy Head Overcast with odd sunny periods. W 4 increasing 5.

With a cool strong W breeze again making birding difficult, with very few birds seen this morning and again butterflies were few and far between.

Kestrel 1 male
Peregrine 1 ad. female
Red-legged Partridge 1
Swift 9 W
Green Woodpecker 2 juvs Birling
Sand Martin 1
Swallow 20
Common Whitethroat 13
Lesser Whitethroat 2 Shooters Bottom
Blackcap 1
Blue Tit 20 including juvs.
Raven 3
Corn Bunting 10+ several still singing.

 
Long-legged Tabby (Synaphe punctalis).
 very local and only found in the south and is predominantly coastal.
